Rules and Regs
At Dunham Fishery, we’re proud to provide a peaceful, safe, and well maintained environment for all anglers. To ensure the enjoyment of every visitor and to protect the wellbeing of our fish and surroundings, we ask that all guests follow the rules outlined below.
1
Barbless Hooks Only
All anglers must use barbless hooks at all times. This helps protect the fish and makes unhooking quicker and safer. Handle fish with care when landing and releasing.
2
Fish from Pegs Only
No trespassing in the woodland area. Fishing is from the pegs only.
3
Keepnets for Matches Only
Keepnets are not permitted during general fishing sessions. They may only be used during official matches and must be fish friendly.
4
Landing Nets Must Be Used
A suitable landing net must be used for all catches to reduce handling and protect fish scales and fins.
5
No Nuts or Animal Foods
To maintain water quality and avoid overfeeding, we do not allow nuts, or animal foods such as dog food or cat food.
6
Ground Bait in Feeders
Feed lightly and responsibly to prevent overfeeding the fish and disturbing the water balance. Ground bait in feeders are allowed.
7
Rod Limit: Maximum of Two Rods
Anglers may fish with up to two rods only. Each angler must stay within reach of their rods at all times. Environment Agency rod license is required.
8
Respect Other Anglers
Please keep noise to a minimum and be courteous to other anglers. Give each other space and maintain a peaceful atmosphere on the banks.
9
Children Must Be Supervised
Children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Safety is a shared responsibility.
10
No Littering
Take all litter home with you — including bait tubs, line, and packaging. Bins may not always be available, so please come prepared.
11
No Fires or BBQs
Open flames, BBQs, and camping stoves are not permitted on site for safety reasons.
12
No Dogs or Pets
No dogs or pets are allowed at the fishery.
